Intrepid Camp Gear is an overlanding company producing durable car top tents. Based in Boulder Colorado, Intrepid is a local staple in the outdoors industry. We had the opportunity to work with the company to produce an interactive shopping experience in which users can explore 3d recreations of Intrepid’s popular products. The experience allows the viewer to appreciate their specific vehicle handling Intrepid’s tent of their choosing.
Intrepid Camp Gear is an overlanding company producing durable car top tents. Based in Boulder Colorado, Intrepid is a local staple in the outdoors industry. We had the opportunity to work with the company to produce an interactive shopping experience in which users can explore 3d recreations of Intrepid’s popular products. The experience allows the viewer to appreciate their specific vehicle handling Intrepid’s tent of their choosing.
The primary difficulty with this project was developing an experience featuring a variety of 3d vehicles and products that could be interacted with on a native web browser. This meant producing highly optimized assets.
We successfully developed the experience by implementing a variety of optimization tactics. The final product includes a full 3d visualization with navigation controls, the ability to choose a specific vehicle, a list of products to swap out, and functionality to see the tents in various states.
